We made it to Germany!

Published on 30 August 2023 at 16:34

After a 6 hour delay in Atlanta, that resulted in a missed connection flight and 14 hour layover in Istanbul, we have arrived in Oberursel, Germany! We arrived around 10am local time (3am central time). What was supposed to be a 15 hour trip became 36 hours, but we are so excited to begin this new journey! The boys had a blast on the airplane and exploring the airports! We were also able to find some authentic Turkish Delights during our layover which was fun because we read about them each time we read The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe

We are so very grateful to the faculty, staff, and students at the Lutherische Theologische Hochschule for their warm welcoming, their preparation of the apartment, and helping us move into our new home for the next year! We are also thankful for our new dear friend Shawn who saved the day with Diapers when we arrived! Thank you to everyone for your prayers during our travel time and for the continued support and prayers over the next year!

Oh, I BET you needed diapers after 15 hours turning into 36 hours! What an ordeal you've been through getting to your new home for the year, but I am certain it will all be well worth it! Praying for this year to be a blessing to you and for you to be a blessing there!
