Prost to classes starting
Classes at the Lutherische Theologische Hochschule begin tomorrow! It’s hard to believe that we have already lived in Germany for 47 days, and it has been such an exciting adventure so far! Since our big trip two weeks ago, we have taken it pretty easy, enjoying the sights and festivities around Oberursel. The weather has cooled, which makes for great conditions to hike around the forests. About 4.5km away is the Hirschgarten—an enclosed park where people can feed deer (Hirsche). The boys loved feeding and petting the deer, and the hike to the park was beautiful!
It does feel bittersweet that classes start tomorrow. On one hand, we are so thankful and excited that we have been blessed with this opportunity to study and learn with our brothers and sisters in the Selbständige Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirche (SELK), but this past month and a half has been such a wonderful time for our family, and we will miss being able to just jump on a train or bus and have impromptu adventures to Bad Hamburg and Frankfurt.
More good news: on Wednesday we will finalize all our requirements to receive our residence permit in Germany for this next year!
